Best Little Baking Pan! August 17, 2010 D. L. Sanders (Quitman, LA USA) I was looking for a smaller mini muffin pan to fit in my Convection/Microwave Oven. Found here on Amazon for $9.99 and saved to wish list to add to SSFS items. Was shopping in Michael's with 40% off coupon and found for same price. Can't beat getting it for $6 immediately. Works great, but beware; cooks brownies faster than pan.
Fun!! August 5, 2010 Taylor (Utah) It was easy and fun to make bite-sized brownies. I only wish I had ordered 2 of them because you have to wait until they cool before you can pop them out. Other than that, this is a great and fun pan. Easy to throw a couple of brownies from the freezer into the kids' lunches!
Great for baby food! July 24, 2010 Flika (Colorado) I love Wilton's silicone baking molds - for baby foods. I think the the foods acquire a foul smell when used in the overn. These are gread for freezing small amounts of baby food and poping the frozen amounts into freezer bags.
Freezing baby food July 20, 2010 Genre reader (Boston, MA) I purchased this item to freeze baby food since it is food-grade silicone. I have used it to freeze oatmeal, sweet potato, squash, plums, applesauce, pearsauce and more. I have little problem getting out the little blocks (in 1 tablespoon or 2 tablespoon amounts), for which I find I can pop out a row at a time and use tongs to put the blocks into a freezer bag. It takes 10-60 seconds to reheat the items so that they are ready to serve.
Love it and will buy again! June 25, 2010 Mer's mom (Austin, TX) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this as a first-time baby food maker. I wasn't sure what would work best. I absolutely love this pan for freezing pureed baby food. I bought some of those food ice cube trays at the same time. They are okay, but I would truly rate this product as perfect for the purpose. I use a spatula and glop on a bunch of food at once and just wipe it across. The cavities fill nicely and there is very little waste or mess around each square. Popping them out once they are frozen is a dream. The cube trays are messier, more time consuming and the exit strategy isn't always what one would hope for. I also use the silicone ice cube trays from Ikea (hearts, fish, flowers, etc). These are cute, and will probably be nice when she's older, but for now, I love my Wilton pan. The serving size is great and being able to do 24 cubes at once is a real advantage over my other two options. I fully intend to buy at least one more of these and probably more.
