The boot aarrived PDQ and it fits perfect. The flat floor that folds back for ust be access to lower shelf must be removed to allow rubber insert. You have the option of putting back the cheap floor or leave it off. If you use it it will fold back to allow taller objects to fit in rubber mat. Fold back down to hide rubber insert. I like it with cheap floor out. Motor On. WOD

At first I admit I wasn't thrilled, because this rubber boot mat didn't seem to fit perfectly as I thought a custom made product should. Also, it took up some very important space that I needed for my suitcase...actually meant my suitcase would not fit in that area if rubber boot mat was in there. HOWEVER: as far as for everyday use, I LOVE the rubber boot mat. Recently I had a cooler that leaked a ton of water in the back of my car--but no worries! The rubber boot mat caught all the water, and there was no damage to the carpet, and no water got into the storage compartment underneath. I also had occasion to put wet bathing suits and snorkel gear back there, (and dog toys/beds once), and I was so glad to be able to do that without worry. Grocery bags fit back there perfectly, and the rubber boot mat keeps things from sliding even when you are driving your Mini like you should--fast! ;-)
